A substantial low bookcase in mahogany and mahogany veneer, opening with two solid doors and two central glazed doors in a pointed arch, ideal for displaying books or collectibles. Richly ornamented with bronze mounts, it features winged figures (Victory or Nike) symbolizing glory and triumph, busts of women, garlands and foliate motifs, and stylized griffins, emblematic of the Empire style. The interior reveals numerous shelves. The top is of sea-green marble. Attributed to the Krieger firm in Paris.
