Large rectangular console in richly carved and gilded wood. Wide belt decorated with dagrafes, rosettes, stylized shells and foliage. The uprights and legs are highly agitated with acanthus leaves, lambrequins and scrolls, joined by a strong strut featuring the same decoration, with a grotesque mask in the center, grimacing in a shell bordered by burst pomegranates. This console is emblematic of mid-18th-century Italian Baroque furniture. Beautiful lepanto marble top with beak molding.
Condition report: In very good structural condition with occasional wear and rework of the gilding.
