Gilded and patinated bronze planter mounted on a stepped sea-green marble base, with women in long tunics at the corners and a central amphora with swan-shaped handles. Like the female-figure columns of the Erechteion on the Acropolis in Athens, these patinated bronze caryatids support a fluted planter with an openwork cane motif at the top. On either side of the plant receptacle, an arched garland of flowers, leaves, ribbons, a laurel wreath, a quiver and a caduceus. Circa: 1860
Condition report: In good condition. Some light wear to the patina of the caryatids.
