A 70's table lamp with a shade made of eight sheets of curved metal, resting on a conical base with a curved surface. The 70s were a time of provocation, modernism, cultural and social freedom. Shine was very much in vogue, and was expressed throughout the decade by shiny materials such as satin and vinyl, or by the sequins present in both clothing and make-up. The trend is towards curves, with acidic, tonic colors such as pink, orange and red, but also cooler colors in shades of gray, blue and even silver. The materials used are mostly synthetic, with shiny, translucent effects such as stainless steel, Plexiglas, Formica or chromed metal. The spirit is above all innovative and playful, and the atmospheres are anti-conformist and futuristic. With its surprising shape and the materials used, our lamp is a fine example of this. Design period, Circa: 1970 Dim: W:24cm, D:24cm, H:61cm.
