Large Louis XIV style mirror, known as a "Huguenot" mirror, veneered in tortoiseshell and embossed brass. It features rich ornamentation of floral, foliate, and fruit motifs. The broken pediment is decorated in the center with a female mask. The central mirror is framed by a wide brass band with scrolling plant motifs. It is embellished at the corners with spandrels and framed with molded wooden strips. 19th century. Napoleon III period, circa 1870. Dimensions: W: 69cm, D: 8cm, H: 114cm. In good overall condition, with minor signs of age.
