A pair of large, finely chased and gilded bronze candlesticks. The fluted column-shaped stem is adorned with pine cones, palmettes, and acanthus leaves. The candle holder is bordered with a rich wreath of flowers and fruit. The candlestick rests on a tripod base decorated with swans with outstretched wings and terminating in lion's paw feet. The chasing on these candelabra is exceptionally fine. Restoration period. Circa 1820. Dimensions: W: 22cm, D: 22cm, H: 55cm. In very good overall condition.
