Beautiful Empire period mahogany and mahogany veneer daybed. Straight legs flanked by scrolled brackets. The straight belt is punctuated with antique bronze applique nails. Inverted bedside cabinet with bronze applique decoration of foliage scrolls and acanthus leaves, finished with a dolphin head. A slightly different model can be found in the Percier et Fontaine design archive. Circa: 1810
