cut and vermeil drinking service by the House of Boin-Taburet. It comprises a ewer and eight glasses with twisted fluting. The vermeil mounts are also decorated with twisted fluting and flowing foliage in the Louis XV style. The ewer is surmounted by naturalistic fruit finials and is marked inside the lid: "BOIN TABURET A PARIS" and the GB hallmark for Georges Boin within a lozenge. It also bears the Minerva hallmark for 1st standard silver and the "MJ" hallmark for Jules Monney. The service is presented in its original red leather case, decorated with gilt scrolls, with the inscription inside in gilt lettering: "BOIN-TABURET orfèvre, 3 Rue Pasquier, PARIS". Circa 1880
