A Louis XVI style gilt bronze clock depicting a nymph and two cherubs. The unclothed nymph, reclining on a cushion, nurses one of the cherubs while the other calls to her. At the center, the round enamel dial is decorated with finely drawn polychrome floral garlands and indicates the hours in Arabic numerals. It is supported by two winged sphinxes resting on a white marble base, adorned with chased gilt bronze decorations depicting foliage, bunches of vines, cherubs playing instruments, and garlands. It features openwork hands and six toupie feet.
