Large, half-moon shaped console table in carved and gilded wood. It rests on four fluted, reeded legs connected by a stretcher decorated with a vase and rich garlands of flowers. The apron, adorned with egg-and-dart and interlacing patterns, supports a central garland of flowers and a trophy. This trophy consists of a quiver (alluding to Cupid and amorous victories) and a torch (symbol of noble heroes), joined by a ribbon. This Louis XVI style console table features a wide, sea-green marble top. 19th century, circa 1860. Dimensions: W: 130cm, D: 53cm, H: 86cm. In good overall condition, with minor wear and restorations to the gilding.
