This contemporary armchair with its pure curves is entirely hand-painted, with a symmetrical pattern on the seat. Structure in polyester resin reinforced with a steel support. This unique piece is the result of an exceptional collaboration between Galerie Atena and artist Lukas. Year of creation: 2023
Lukas: a dialogue between tradition and modernity
Lukas is a self-taught French artist whose work has been featured in numerous solo exhibitions nationally and internationally. According to him, "an artist's expression is a reflection of his relationship with the world of today and tomorrow". Thus, guided by Carl G. Jung's collective unconscious or archetypes, his art seems to reflect a certain urgency with regard to the modern world. Imbued with diverse atmospheres and cultures, he works and relies on color and the sensations he has encountered throughout his life to reach a wide audience with a very simple style. Constantly on the lookout for new experiences and sharing with the world, he creates works that are often unique, each translating a moment, a particular inspiration. In 2015, he joined the design team at Manufacture des Émaux de Longwy and created several series of earthenware works, including the hugely successful "City of Stars" Astro ball.
Lukas's collaboration with Galerie Atena on the "Little Albert" has resulted in a unique design work that combines tradition and modernity.
