Part of a mahogany and mahogany veneer bedroom set from the Consulate period, return from Egypt, comprising: this straight secretary in mahogany and mahogany veneer with flat columns veneered with gilt bronze Egyptian heads.
It opens at the front with a drawer, a drop-front revealing compartments and small drawers, including a secret drawer. The lower section opens with two doors, resting on lion's paw feet painted to imitate antique bronze, with clover-shaped locks and a Flemish Granite marble top.
