Henri Émile Allouard, known as Henri Allouard, was born in Paris in 1844. He was initially a bookseller before being able to make a living from his art. He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes from 1865 to 1928. Throughout his long career, he explored various materials: marble, bronze, terracotta, and ivory. He also painted classical subjects such as landscapes and still lifes.
