An important column in Arlequin breccia marble, also known as "Arlequino." This neoclassical pedestal, in the Doric order, has a fluted shaft, the base adorned with a gilt bronze laurel wreath. Above, a square, cyma-shaped shelf. The square, veined marble base with canted corners rests on a gilt bronze plaque. This Doric column, dating from the Napoleon III period, is perfectly suited to display a sculpture or a decorative vase.
