A hexagonal tripod incense burner or perfume burner in Satsuma porcelain, richly decorated with polychrome enamels and gold. One side depicts haloed figures representing masters gathered around a child, their pupil, and the other a family reunited amidst a bamboo forest. The lid is made of openwork metal. Satsuma mark underneath. Circa 1890.
