Pair of asymmetrical modernist furniture in rosewood veneer in the taste of André Sornay. One forms a bar, the other a secretary. Both feature quadrangular pedestals and geometric lines in the purest Art Deco style. The front of the bar unit opens to reveal two hinged doors at the bottom, a door with a bar shelf in the center, and a curtained niche at the top. The desk features numerous storage compartments, with shelves and drawers, and a sliding writing tablet. A removable mirror-covered tray connects the two pieces of furniture. Modernist silver-plated metal keys and escutcheons. Dim. bar: W:93cm (closed bar) / 152cm (open bar), D:45cm, H:150cm. Secretary desk: W:89cm, D:46cm, H:150cm.
