Large mirror in micro-mosaic and polychrome glass twists. This Venetian mirror, with its curved shape, is entirely decorated with bouquets of flowers, roses and foliage in the naturalistic style, in light relief on a gold background. The motifs are delicately worked, and the technique employed is extraordinarily virtuoso. This mirror was made in Venice, Italy, towards the end of the 19th century, when Italian micro-mosaics were renowned throughout Europe.
Condition report: in very good condition with minor restoration to the wood and restoration of a few tesserae.
