A Napoleon III period liquor cabinet in ebony inlaid with brass, embellished with red tortoiseshell dots, and engraved with the owner's initials. The front and top are decorated with floral scrolls, foliage, and interlacing patterns. The interior contains a removable basket with an ebony tray, adorned with four small feet, handles, and gilt-bronze compartments. It holds four decanters and sixteen small glasses of engraved crystal, decorated with vine tendrils and gold trim. Circa 1860
