Pair of antique patinated and gilt bronze candlesticks from the Restoration period. The flared stem is divided into three sections separated by gilt bronze rings. The lower section is adorned with putti in relief symbolizing the arts (painting, music, and sculpture). The upper sections are decorated with reeds and acanthus leaves. Each candlestick rests on a tall base decorated with dolphins and floral scrolls, and a trilobed plinth with curved sides. Condition: In very good overall condition, with slight signs of wear on the gilt bronze parts and a few micro-scratches on the plinth. Restoration period, circa 1820.
