A pair of crystal , gilt bronze, and silvered bronze trumpet-shaped vases depicting a young fisherman and a farmer. The farmer carries a gourd and holds a scythe, alluding to fieldwork and harvest. The fisherman carries a fishing net over his shoulder and holds fish. Each raises a bouquet of wheat ears and reeds interspersed with flowers, from which spring the crystal cups with polylobed rims. They rest on a naturalistic base, decorated with floral and vegetal elements against a matte background.
