A pair of Louis XV style gilt bronze wall sconces with two lights. With their scrolling foliage decoration, these candelabras are typical of the Rococo style. The candle holders are treated as flower buds. This 19th-century reinterpretation echoes the ornamentation used during the reign of Louis XV . A period of great imagination, bronze allowed artisans to demonstrate remarkable originality in compositions that emphasized movement, curves, and Rococo motifs , blending flora and fauna.
