Pair of large Portieux crystal candle holders (1705-2012), tulip-shaped and engraved with dolphins, jongs, vases, and foliage. The molded crystal bases are adorned with straight and twisted fluting. A candle holder is a decorative glass piece whose hollow shape allows it to hold a light source such as a candle or lantern. With its soft, diffused light, this decidedly modern piece is an essential element for a bedroom or living room. Both candle holders are signed "Portieux." 20th century, circa 1910. Dimensions: W: 17cm, D: 17cm, H: 51cm. In good overall condition, with minor scratches from use on the candle holders.
