A pair of large, six-light Louis XV style gilt bronze candelabra, decorated with Rococo-style swirling and twisted foliage. The candle holders are shaped like buds, with the lights representing the flowers. A removable flame-shaped snuffer is located at the top. The circular base rests on three small feet crafted from the same decorative elements. This acanthus leaf and floral ornamentation is typical of the Louis XV style, which was widely imitated at the end of the 19th century. To learn more about the Rococo style, see our blog here.
