A pair of Medici vases in midnight blue porcelain with gilt bronze mounts, decorated with the arms of France beneath a royal crown. They have two twisted handles adorned with acanthus leaves. Each vase rests on a foot encircled with gilt scrolls and a gilt bronze laurel wreath, above a rectangular base with canted corners. Apocryphal Sèvres mark under the base. Probably produced by the Samson factory in the 19th century. Very good condition. Late 19th century, circa 1890. Dimensions: W: 13cm, D: 13cm, H: 26cm.
