A pair of Regency-style wall sconces in chased and gilt bronze, after a model by André-Charles Boulle (1642-1732). They are fixed to the wall by means of an openwork plate in the center of which appears a female mask against a trophy with a quiver and torch. Below this mask, the plate is adorned with a bearded mask, from which extend the three arms of light that support the candle holders and bobeches. This rich decoration is completed with palmettes, laurel garlands, and egg-and-dart friezes. 19th century. Our two wall sconces are similar to a set of four light plates attributed to André-Charles Boulle, and held at the Louvre Museum. 19th century, circa 1850. Dimensions: W: 23cm, D: 26cm, H: 46cm. Both wall sconces are in very good condition. They can be electrified by us.
