Restoration period candlesticks in chased and gilded bronze, the stem adorned with floral motifs and surmounted by a wreath of fruit. Each antique candlestick rests on a circular base decorated with vases and cornucopias against a matte background. The slightly domed sockets are finely chased with circumscribed winged figures, and the drip pans are decorated with palmettes. This model, in the style of Trajan's Column in Rome (a column with a long, historiated band identifiable by an immense spiraling papyrus scroll), is representative of the Restoration period. Restoration period, circa 1820. Dimensions: W: 14cm, D: 14cm, H: 33cm. In very good condition, with slight wear consistent with age.
