A pair of three-light candelabra in chased and gilt bronze and white marble, each lighted in the form of a bouquet of flowers. The vase-shaped stem is adorned with two handles terminating in acanthus leaves and a garland of vine tendrils on either side. The base, featuring a beaded band, rests on a bronze and marble plinth decorated with a double-tiered interlacing pattern. It has four bronze toupie feet. One of the vases is signed on the base "Eug. Hazart Paris." Louis XVI style, late 19th century.

Eugène Hazart was a Parisian bronze sculptor highly regarded in his time. He was a member of the Bronze Manufacturers' Association from 1839 and of the commission on the ownership of designs. He produced bronzes copying the antique style, in the Gothic and Renaissance styles, and was known for his reproductions of 18th-century works. In 1884, he appeared in the supplier directory of Pannier Frères, who ran the famous "A l'Escalier de Cristal" firm, renowned throughout the 19th century.
