Couple of Nubian torchbearers in carved wood with black lacquered bodies and richly decorated with polychrome and gilded garments, standing on a square wooden base painted in imitation of porphyry marble. Electrically mounted with a polished glass flame at the end. Venetian work of the 19th century. The square base measures 39 cm on each side. Circa: 1850.
Condition report: In good overall condition with cracks, chips and restoration to polychromy.
