Two bronze sculptures with a brown patina, depicting Fortune, goddess of luck, and Mercury, god of good fortune in Roman mythology. Each deity is represented with his or her attributes: Fortune carries ears of corn in one hand and a scepter in the other, while Mercury holds a purse. Both are propelled into the air by a baby blower. Bases adorned with putti symbolizing Painting and Sculpture. Both bronzes are signed "J. de Bologne".
Model after Jean de Bologne (Giambologna), a French sculptor born in 1524 and who died in Florence in 1608.
