An important pair of baluster vases in jade-colored opaline with gilded brass mounts, with shoulders decorated with laurel garlands topped by an openwork gallery surrounding the neck, the opening of which is highlighted by a gilded brass snap ring. The slender body is housed in a rounded base featuring projecting gadroons and a frieze of posts. The rim of the body is decorated with garlands of flowers supported by fluted columns surmounted by satyr heads and ending in four lion paws. Each vase rests on a stepped circular base chased with foliage. Circa: 1880.
