Elegant Louis XV-style three-leaf folding screen in lacquered and gilded wood. The molded wood structure, richly carved with shells, flowers and garlands of flowers, is lacquered in frosted green and rechambered with gilding. Each flap of this Rocaille screen is covered with a fabric patterned with exotic flowers and supported by two small cambered legs. The upper part is openworked with three beveled glass panes, set and trimmed with shells and flowers at the front. The central panel, slightly higher than the others, is crowned with a garland of flowers. The leaves are connected by hinges and can be folded away.
This late 19th century production is a good illustration of the renewed affection for the Dionysian style of Louis XV, with its lightness, charm and elegance.
