She wears an elegant piémontaise gown with a train tied at the waist, a richly lace-trimmed stomach piece and a full skirt. The sleeves are adorned with engaging lace ruffles. A collar trims the neckline. The woman stands on a circular base decorated with alternating palmettes and fluting. Signed "PAUL DUBOY" on the base. Mark on reverse. Nineteenth-century work. The details of the bodice, lace sleeves and hair are finely worked. Circa: 1880
