Charles X-period gilt bronze and chased clock depicting a winged genius playing the lyre in acanthus leaves populated by dolphins. The dial, adorned with two nymphs carrying a lyre on an altar, indicates the hours in black Roman numerals. The oval base features music trophy and laurel wreath motifs and rests on four small fluted feet decorated with flowers. The wire clock features a finely chased butterfly. The whole is set on a black wooden base. Dynamic in composition, this clock has a lyrical élan that lends it great elegance.
