A rare biscuit porcelain group after a model by Étienne-Maurice Falconet (1716-1791), created at Sèvres in 1758. It depicts two women fishing, accompanied by two putti. An apocryphal Sèvres mark, with the double "L" and the letters "HM," is present under the base. Several firings are visible (see photos). This biscuit porcelain piece is likely an 18th- or early 19th-century copy, given its considerable weight, the biscuit technique, and the physiognomy of the figures. Bibliography: Falconet's model is listed in "Les œuvres de la Manufacture Nationale de Sèvres. Tome I: La sculpture de 1738 à 1815," no. 512. 19th century, circa 1820. Dimensions: L: 29cm, W: 20cm, H: 26cm.
