A rare pair of lacquered pewter drinking fountains , decorated with monochrome village scenes and ruined landscapes. The upper part of the body and the neck are embellished with friezes of floral motifs painted in gold on a black ground. Each barrel is adorned with two gilt-bronze , each holding a ring. Curved tripod base, ending in wooden feet. Empire period. Circa 1800
Condition report: In good overall condition, with some chips to the lacquer and slight wear to the bronze. The monochrome decorations are in very good condition.
