Rare pair of caramel-lacquered pewter drinking fountains, decorated with village scenes and ruined landscapes in monochrome. The upper part of the body and the neck are enhanced by friezes with floral motifs painted in gold on a black background. Each barrel is adorned with two ormolu lion's heads holding a ring. Curved tripod base, finished with wooden runners. Empire period. Circa: 1800
Condition report: in good overall condition, with a few chips to the lacquer and slight wear to the bronze. The cameo decorations are in very good condition.
