A Rococo-style corner console in carved and gilded wood, richly decorated with gadrooned foliage and scrolls on a lozenge-patterned background. The design of the base and apron alternates curves and counter-curves, giving this console a characteristic Rococo movement. The console is surmounted by a molded and scalloped breccia marble top. This Louis XV-style piece is designed to be wall-mounted. We also have a second, slightly smaller console of the same height that would perfectly complement this one. Circa 1850
Condition report: In very good condition, with slight wear from use and cracks in the wood.
