An oval porcelain mirror, decorated with a garland of polychrome flowers in relief and a Rococostyle beaded frieze. The top is adorned with a light blue bow highlighted in gold. A pair of removable candlesticks stand on either side of the mirror, reflecting the candlelight and illuminating a room. The wooden back has two small feet and a sliding display stand. Apocryphal signatures of Jacob Petit (JP) and Meissen (two swords and a star). The Meissen and Jacob Petit manufactories share many similarities in their work with flowers in the round. Probably by Samson. Condition Report: In very good overall condition, with some chips to the petals and slight wear to the gilding. Particular care has been taken in the floral work.
