A gilt and patinated bronze clock depicting Cupid carrying Psyche, who holds a crown. The couple, enlivened by flowing draperies, rests on a dial with Roman numerals, decorated with stylized clouds and flanked by garlands of flowers and putti heads. The base echoes the garland motif, its ends turned into scrolls. The rectangular base rests on four feet, the front feet of which are decorated with acanthus leaves and scrolls. Early 19th century. Original wire-driven movement, serviced and in working order. Charles X period, circa 1815. Dimensions: W: 33cm, D: 12cm, H: 50cm.
