Alabaster sculpture of a bust portrait of a smiling young girl in the style of Carrier-Belleuse (1824-1887). She wears a striped garment, the hem of which is decorated with a butterfly foraging for flowers. The texture of her garment is very realistic. The bust rests on a stepped circular base. Circa: 1880
Condition report: in good overall condition, with chips to the hair, butterfly and flowers. Minor chips to base. A piece of the base has been glued back together and restored.
