Giuseppe Gambogi (Pisa 1862- Florence 1938). Italian sculptor trained at the Accademia della Belle Arti in Florence between 1901 and 1912. He explored classical, Orientalist, and Romantic subjects with a predilection for mythological and feminine themes. His sculptures in marble and alabaster reflect the idealized human beauty that was fashionable during the Belle Époque.
Condition report: in good condition with minor chips on the edges.
