MARBLE SCULPTED-COLUMNS WITH VASES "REAPER AND FISHERMAN"
Two white Carrara marble saddle sculptures depicting putti holding cornucopias, surmounted by a pair of "Faucheur et pêcheur" crystal and silver-gilt bronze horn vases.
Marble putti, draped in a veil, lift a cornucopia, emblematic of wealth and fertility, in the shape of a triton shell, ending in a tray on which crystal vases rest.
The pair of cone-shaped vases, in transparent crystal and gold- and silver-plated metal, depict a farmer and a fisherman. The farmer holds a scythe and gourd, symbolizing the work of harvesting. The fisherman holds a fishing net and fish on his shoulder. Both lift a vase, one decorated with ears of wheat and the other with reeds.
The harmonious set is also offered separately, a pair of marble column and a pair of crystal vases.
