Small rectangular tortoiseshell snuffbox. The hinged lid is adorned with a micro-mosaic oval medallion depicting St. Peter's Square in Rome. The landscape stands out against the dark background of the box. The micromosaic and tortoiseshell are set in a gold frame. Circa: 1820
