Coffee table in the Gilbert Poillerat style in lacquered, oxidized and gilded metal. It stands on four openwork spindle-shaped legs superimposed with decorative globes. The base is joined by a twisted semicircular brace. The top features a marquetry of different shades of cream-colored stones. These robust yet graceful motifs are reminiscent of certain neo-baroque creations by Gilbert Poillerat (1902-1988) in the 1930s and 1940s. This work dates from the 1970s.
We also have a sofa end table in the same spirit if you're looking for a set for your living room.
