Table lamp, model "6580 Super," designed by Karl Trabert and produced by G. Schanzenbach & Co. during the 1930s and 40s. This modernist lamp is a true classic of 20th-century design. Little is known about Karl Trabert, except that he was in contact with modernists such as Gropius and Breuer, leading figures of the Bauhaus. This exceptionally pure lamp is meticulously crafted. The base and stem are made of steel, and the sleeve is made of black lacquered wood. Circa 1930
