A very large and beautiful terracotta sculpture signed Mathurin Moreau (1822-1912) depicting "Spring." The young woman, with beautiful hair, sits on a rock, shielding herself from prying eyes and the wind with a drape that partially reveals her nudity. She holds a bouquet of flowers in her hand. The terracotta is signed at the base of the rock and marked "hors concours" (out of competition). Circa 1900

Condition report: Very good overall condition. Minor chips on two leaves.
