Engravings by Orfeo Tamburi depicting the arrondissements of Paris for the series Paris 20+1, etchings and aquatints. They are signed in pencil by the artist and published between 1979 and 1981 by Il Cigno in Rome. The stamp is visible in the lower right corner of the print. Artist's proofs (AP). Orfeo Tamburi (1910-1994), an Italian painter and engraver, is known for his depictions of urban life. He developed a passion for engraving and prints with warm tones and broad lines, inspired by Cézanne. In the 1960s, he was commissioned by the American magazine Fortune to depict numerous cities in the United States. In 1971, he settled in Paris and illustrated the metropolis in all seasons. That same year, the Italian president awarded him the Gold Medal of Cultural Merit.
