From 1931, he trained in the cabinetmaking workshops of the Faubourg Saint-Antoine district in Paris. In 1934, he designed the interior of the Carlton brasserie on the Champs-Élysées and achieved immediate success. This marked the beginning of an international career that lasted until the early 1970s. A leading decorator of the avant-garde in the 1950s, Royère worked in all styles of interior design and opened offices in the Middle East and Latin America. He pioneered an original style combining vibrant colors, refined organic forms, precious materials, and a repertoire imbued with poetry. It embodies the functional spirit of Scandinavian design, as well as the ornamentation and attention to detail of Italian design. 20th century, circa 1950. Dimensions: W: 30cm, D: 64cm, H: 184cm.
