A baluster vase from the Sèvres porcelain factory, crafted from iridescent midnight blue porcelain with gold highlights in stylized leaf motifs. It is decorated with a "geranium" pattern, featuring a fine gold frieze at the shoulder, executed by the factory's artists under the direction of Alexandre Sandier, Director of Artistic Works between 1896 and 1916. This frieze was applied to a service known as the "geranium service," produced between 1898 and 1914. The rim and foot are embellished with a gold-painted line. It bears two marks on the base: "S 1910" and "doré à Sèvres manufacture nationale 1912" (gilded at Sèvres, National Manufactory, 1912).
