Pair of decorative porcelain covered vases, decorated with harbors in gold-framed reserves on a blue scale background, and flowers. Rose-shaped grip point. Chased ormolu mount, decorated with openwork interlacing and foliage. Handles decorated with lions' heads. Each potpourri rests on a pedestal decorated with acanthus leaves and four rectangular feet with Egyptian heads bearing klafts. Mark of the Volkstedt-Rudolstadt Manufactory (Germany, Thuringia). Circa: 1840 Dim: W:16cm, D:13cm, H:20cm. Both pots-pourris are in good condition, with slight wear to the gilding.
